Dachshunds in London dine out
Last weekend was another very successful day out for the Dachshunds in London Meet Up group. Only this time instead of heading to the green parks of London we all headed to ‘Dine Out’. Lily’s Kitchen the UK’s first ever Doggie Diner and possibly even the World’s first was invaded by typically hungry lively Dachshunds all ready to fill their tums.
We were greeted by friendly hostesses at the Diner who showed us to our tables. The dining tables were designed especially well for us very short legged Dachshunds to enjoy the company of each other. The menu had ‘proper ‘organic delicious dishes on offer. It was difficult to make a choice between the Homestyle Chicken n Turkey Casserole, Beef Potato and Vegetable or Slow cooked Lamb Hot Pot but as you all know us Dachshunds are not all that fussy when it comes to choice of food.
Our waitress was ever so obliging and continued to fill our empty bowls after each course. Occasionally one or two of us got greedy and tried to steal from each other’s dinner bowls but our waitress soon put a stop to that. No fighting allowed in the Lily’s Kitchen Doggie Diner. Unruly behaviour was not allowed so where possible we were all on our best behaviour.
Feeling rather content with bellies full many of us then relaxed on the Lily’s sofa together. Some of us decided to socialise together and play in the Doggie Diner. For those of us whom like to misbehave a behaviourist was available to give sound advice. An acupuncturist to help and discuss doggie health matters was also there to help.
It was a great day out and we were delighted to meet up with all our Dachshund buddies but most of all our owners walked out with bags of food and treats as take away and were all well persuaded that we were all huge fans of Lily’s Kitchen Proper Pet Food.
To view the whole range go to: www.lilyskitchen.co.uk and you will see why we believe it is the best dog food available.

Dachshunds that know how to keep warm
AND THE WINNER IS...
We asked dachshunds in London members to show us how their dogs were keeping warm over the sub zero tempretures this winter and some of you have proven to the world that dachshunds can beat the cold!
We have had a flurry of wonderful snap shots of some of the cutest and cheekiest snaps of Milo's friends donning hats, coats and of course (in their favourite hiding place) under the blanket.
Choosing a winner has not been easy but we think Joanna Statham's little Daks sums up winter for dachshunds quite neatly. There is nothing that beats a nice fluffy duvet day on those long wintery nights... well done Daks and keep borrowing!
In second place is Rambo and third Louise's Milo!
Here is Daks with the other two favourites and our runners up. Well done everyone! and Merry Christmas!
IN 2ND PLACE
Louise Young's Milo getting ready for Siberian weather
AND 3RD!
Zoe's Rambo, and you thought that Husky's could only bear the cold hey? you were wrong!
AND THE RUNNERS UP
