London's miniature race returns
On your marks...get set....GO!
The official dachshunds in London race day has returned.
The big day, set for 22nd May at Hampstead Heath, will see London's dachshunds competing wet nose to wet nose against the green grasses of north London's big park.
Contestants must measure more than 50cm with four paws and flappy ears - or thereabouts.
There will be more fun and competitions throughout the afternoon once more and a huge thanks goes out to Lily's Kitchen who have kindly offered to sponsor us for the second year running.
For more information sign up to our blog today! If youd like to sponsor us with a prize or know someone who does email Lisa.
On your marks get set...go!

Liam Gallaghar with 900 dachshunds?
Liam Gallaghar was the hot topic of the world of dachshunds last month when he claimed to buy 900 of them in aid of saving the breed!
We make an urgent plea to Mr Oasis that each and everyone become star members of our club! so if you are reading this Mr Gallagher please get in touch with us!
The OASIS star and his wife Nicole Appleton have one of the four-legged friends called Ruby and on a recent trip to Germany Liam said he would be a crusader for their cause.
He ranted: "Extinction of sausage dogs? I will prevent that! When I'm back in England I am gonna buy 900 of them. I am gonna prevent them from downfall."
We say good on you Liam we will back you every inch of the way - looks like out spring race day will be mildly populated - look out London Parks!

Oscar leaves a pawprint for dachshunds in London
dachshunds in London veteran member Oscar kissed us all farewell last month after just 10 years.
Oscar was a member of DIL since 2008! Our heartfelt condolences go out to owner Delia Gaze and her family who enjoyed taking Oscar to our meet ups.
As ever loosing a pet is a tragedy, in memoriam Delia says:"... he was the most beautiful, loving, joyous and comical little creature imaginable - the vet said that of all the relationships between clients and animals that he sees, the bond between Oscar and me came at the top!".
Good bless you Oscar
