Participate in live dachshund art at Birmingham's Fierce Festival

Dachshunds in London members are being recruited for the Dachshund UN - a special event held in Birmingham on Saturday 31st March for the Fierce Festival, Birmingham’s premier festival of live art and performance.
Some members have already met the artist behind this, Bennett Miller, at our London meet back in December2011 but we are now looking to confirm numbers for this fabulous event and are also looking into travelling up as a group.
DIL members who would like to participate please email DIL ambassador Helga Klausgraber via our group facebook and non members dachshund@wearefierce.org
The Dachshund U.N will take place at 1pm, Saturday 31 March 2012 in Oozells Square, Birmingham.

For Bennett Miller's 'Dachshund U.N.' A scaled replica of the former United Nations office in Geneva will be set up to hold a meeting of the Commission of Human Rights. Each of the 47 nations will be represented by an individual dachshund. The piece is a playful (and often chaotic!) comment on the aspirations of the Commission of Human Rights, and our capacity as humans to imagine and achieve a universal system of justice. Australian artist Miller chose dachshunds as a group as there is so much variety within the breed, representative of the diversity of the human race.
