And the Halloween weiner is...

What a great howl-loween we had....Some great pictures from our members but one stood out from the rest and received the most 'likes' on our facebook page and that was Sara's Ernie.

Well done Ernie - that is most definitely the best dachshund mummy we have seen around and reminiscent of Backstreet boys' Nick dressed as a mummy....

Thank you for entering...have a look at these brilliant looking dogs

In second place...Lohit's little pumpkin Jeffrey

and not forgetting our runners up...

Halloween can be a little more debaucherous when you have short legs as Stella's Percy shows us in this pic.

We hardly talk about cats on dachshunds in London but this picture is a real eye twister..have you spotted Flicks Lulu yet?

Dragons don't come longer than these..Jaclyn's dog sports a fab costume back in NYC

Valentines comes early for the gorgeous Betty belonging to Lucy, Romeo Romeo where for art thou?

Christmas is early with this half breed Reindachs by Rachel's dog Cass

Last but not least, the first thing that came to mind when I saw this was "ET dachshund" what do you think? Sharon's chocolate dachshund is as cute as the 80's alien in this pic, except cuter!

At the sausage dog Olympics

dachshunds in London at Regents Park
Over 30 dogs and their owners gathered last Sunday to compete in the super charged dachshund in London races at Regents Park.

London's most popular dachshund club, with members from all over the city, gathered next to the very apt 'Honest Sausage' cafe to make new friends and frolic with old. Amongst the crowd were many new pups and even some re-homed friends. The races even stopped TV presenter Nick Grimshaw in his tracks to watch on at the dashing dogs. Nick later tweeted "At the sausage dog Olympics".

Well done everyone! Especially our 3 main winners...
Photographer Yulia Titovets captured the event beautifully so dont forget to check out her pictures here - dachshunds in London September races.

Huge thanks to everyone who took part and those donated to the club once again. Its your participation and friendship that have made this club what it is today!

More beady eyes just for you

Meet Rufus. He has just joined dachshunds in London after his mum and dad Caroline and John Wilson came a searching for a pup within our club.

The couple put a great deal of time and effort (as should we all) into searching for their perfect pup family member.

Last month they joined in the fun at the monthly club meet up to talk to other members about recommended breeders and characteristics and decided a dachshund was going to be the breed of choice!

Little Rufus has already had his formal initiation into the brotherhood pack of fellow London slinky mutts and so we wish Ru Ru many more meets - Welcome little one!
